Jofi was the first ever therapy dog, she would lay near a patient if she felt comfortable with them, and further away if she didn't or if they became agitated. She would also get up and go to the door after 50 minutes had passed, when it was time for the session to end. Dogs having a calming presence in times of discomfort or distress, and today therapy dogs can be found everywhere from schools to airplanes!
