The Schrödinger's Cat paradox is a quantum mechanics thought experiment devised by Erwin Schrödinger. The concept was intended to explain quantum superposition, in summary: the hypothetical cat is placed inside a box with a flask of poison to be released at an unknown time. While the box is sealed, until the cat is observed, it is considered both dead and alive. This pin features both the 3D raised skull of the dead cat, as well as the focused features of the alive cat simultaneously, so based on which design feature you focus on, it is both!
